Amber Wilson is the second deuteragonist in The Amazing World of Gumball. She is Tobias' twin sister and the replacement of Rachel due to Ben and some staff members not liking her personality.

Appearance[]

She has a mixed color of her parents’ and her brother’s color. Her hair is colored like a rainbow. She looks similar to Rachel, but is her replacement. She has a pink bow on her head. She wears a magenta shirt. She wears light blue tennis shorts. She sometimes wears a black jacket.

Personality[]

Unlike Rachel, who calls Elmore junior high students "dumb loser babies", she is carefree and is friends of all of the students of Elmore junior high and calls them her “cool dudes”. She sometimes gets romantic since when she hears that Darwin is her cloud friend’s boyfriend in “The Pressure”. She can sometimes be nervous, especially when it comes to her future, of her falling into the void with rob, since Banana Barbara can paint the future.

Relationship[]

Tobias[]

Unlike Rachel, Amber has an affectionate relationship towards her brother. In “The Strangeness”, when she apologizes to Tobias, who refuses to accept her apology and hug her, she assaults him with kisses until he accepts her apology.

Anton[]

In “The toast” they do gym class together. Amber is horrified when Anton drowns in the pool, and desperately tries to revive him. When she fails, she wails in grief. However, she is very suspicious of Anton when he comes back to life the next day, and decides to discover her secret by killing him. When she changes his plan to simply going to Anton's house and discovers that Anton is just revived by putting a piece of bread in a toaster and turning the dial a certain way, she and the boys decide to create their own Anton, known as "Ant-One," eventually creating a whole host of clones. She and the boys try to hide it from the real Anton, but Gumball inadvertently sends Anton straight to the second clone, Ant-Two (however, this is one of their few positive interactions: Anton thanks Amber for telling him he is late for class, which is how Amber makes him go towards the clone). Anton mistakes him for an echoing mirror, prompting Amber to call him dumb when he is out of sight. Anton overhears Amber mention that the 'mirror' is actually a clone, and angrily asks them how many clones they made. Anton is then killed by Ant-One, but Amber and the boys assume it is Ant-Two who dies. However, she apologises to 'Anton' for cloning him at the end of the episode, admitting that she was wrong, and asking Anton if they can still be friends. She seems sobbingly horrified when she realizes that Anton was killed earlier, not Ant-Two.

Teri[]

Amber sometimes calls her T-bear. However she thinks of her to be overreacting when she panics when there is nothing wrong with her. Amber often mocks her for being overreactive.

William[]

Molly[]

Amber usually thinks her as boring. However she was saddened to hear that Molly hides here ("her special dark place") when she feels awkward and lonely. After hearing these words, she walks out of the room with one motivation: to give Molly a story worth telling.

Hot Dog Guy[]

The relationship between Hot Dog Guy and Amber is weakly considered a friendship, with her considered as a crush when she was looking for a boyfriend occasionally. Hot Dog Guy's second major appearance in "The blush" brings the start of Amber’s crushing relationship. In Amber's effort to prove to other kids that she is can get a boyfriend, she calls out to Hot Dog Guy and kisses and hugs him, despite the two not knowing each other before. This ultimately spirals into multiple awkward moments between them. This includes being unable to not hug in public, singing as they hug each other, and Amber inviting him to a sleepover because Hot Dog Guy paid for her lunch, amongst other examples. After Hot Dog Guy finally fails to engage in a hug, the rest of the episode is spent on the two trying to break their relationship by being worse friends to each other. Finally, nearing the end, they admit that the two of them never even wanted to be friends in the first place.

Additionally, they continue being paired together in "The crush" and "The flinch." "The crush" revolves around Amber failing to avoid her awkwardness, of being a crush, as they head to the mall. In "The flinch," the two finally attempt to get to the bottom of why their relationship is so awkward by exposing themselves to even more amounts of awkwardness. This episode reveals that the two have had repressed childhood memories of cringe, which they decide to destroy those memories. It ends with them hugging, surprisingly without feeling awkward, before they are punched by two hands, making them land in awkward positions, making their relationship awkward again.

Ocho[]

Amber often thinks of him a very intense spider when he extends to the point where he will try to murder someone for insulting his mother.

She puts it on and apologizes somberly, then walks away. She said she liked it and continues to slap herself.
